Drywall Projects by Gordon Morrow
In Progress Pictures
Molly hired me to fix a number of things in the staff lounge of her dance studio. With the help of Allen, we tore off the unattractive coverings over four "buried" old windows and made the walls flush and even looking. We also patched holes made by the electricians during rewiring.
Molly pulled back one of four drywall panels and trim used to cover what turns out to be old windows. It must have been an upstairs office looking out to the retail floor below. We covered everything in plastic sheeting before we started making a mess. We stripped off the old drywall "covers", exposing old windows and framing underneath.

The new framing positions the new drywall flush with the adjacent wall surfaces. New drywall joints were taped and floated flush with mud. After the mud is sanded smooth it's a perfect match, ready for painting.
